Project introduction workshop: enhancing awareness of solid waste management

Attending the workshop were representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Quang Ninh Province; leaders of local Natural Resources Department: Co To district, Ba Che district, Uong Bi city; Local leaders: Dong Tien commune, Co To district; Luong Mong commune, Ba Che district; People's Committee of Thanh Son ward, Uong Bi city is the locality where the project is being piloted and people are in the area of zone 6, Thanh Son ward.

Workshop under the program implementing the project "raising awareness of solid waste management", with the aim: Raising awareness of the community; strengthening waste management policies, laws and institutions; increased investment in waste management infrastructure; Ensure environmental quality, save resources for future generations, Avoid social conflicts related to waste problems, especially for areas with landfills or waste treatment plants by significantly reducing the amount of waste being disposed of and providing direct benefits to the community from the sorting action itself. Raising awareness of people and businesses on the problem of garbage and garbage disposal; prevent environmental degradation problems, reduce environmental pollution of the air and groundwater; saving waste collection and treatment costs, reducing daily waste; Promote more effective waste management solutions, and minimize environmental impacts in accordance with 3R (Reduce - Recycle - Reuse) approach.
